At The Cavanagh House, we believe that hope, dignity, and self-worth are the foundation for a stable and fulfilling life. These values give us the strength to keep moving forward, even when faced with obstacles.

For individuals living with financial instability, life can be filled with challenges that build upon one another creating feelings of hopelessness and loss. When family responsibilities are added, that struggle affects everyone, often leading to a difficult cycle that’s hard to break.

Through our free Trades Program, we are dedicated to helping individuals ages 17 to 50 gain financial stability by providing the training, support, and opportunities needed to “Learn a Trade and Gain a Career.”

Our Paid Apprenticeship Program allows students to earn an income from day one while developing hands-on skills in upholstery and sewing under the guidance of experienced instructors. Participants remain in the program until they secure employment in their trade, ensuring they leave with not just technical skills, but also renewed hope, dignity, and self-worth for a brighter future.
