Meet Constance

Hi, my name is Constance & I am from Capitol Heights, MD. I am a creator, crafter & sewist at heart. I found The Cavanaugh House after transitioning from being a long term caregiver for my beloved grandmother. During those years, I taught myself the skill of sewing which became my joy & passion. I wanted to continue to hone my gifts and talents at what I absolutely love doing. The Cavanaugh House has been the perfect place for me to expand and grow at doing so. So much so, that after a little over a year at being here, I have been given the opportunity and role to mentor other apprentices who are just as passionate as I am. Just having a vocation that never feels like work is most fulfilling!

Constance started the sewing program on 10/21/2024.

Constance is nearing graduation from our sewing apprenticeship program and will soon join our instructional team as an assistant sewing instructor member, while also launching her professional career as a sewer within The Cavanagh House workroom.
