Meet Marisa

Hi, my name is Marisa. I found The Cavanagh House at a moment in my life when I wasn't sure I was going to make it. All I have ever wanted to do it make things and learn skills to do so. After about two weeks at The Cavanagh House, I realized I was getting paid to do the things I used to wish I had the time, energy, and money to do. Now, after a year and a half at The Cavanagh House, I am able to do many sewing and upholstery projects independently and Stacy has recently assigned me to mentor our newer apprentices. It means so much to me to have people who trust in my ability to grow into this career and who embrace those of us who need a second chance. 

Marisa started the program on 8/20/2024.

Marisa is nearing graduation from our training program and will soon join our instructional team as an assistant upholstery training member, while also launching her professional career as an upholsterer with The Cavanagh House.”
