Meet Zachary

Hi, I’m Zach. I’m 28 years old and live in Baltimore City. I learned about The Cavanagh House at a Helping Up Mission job fair, and after talking with Stacy and hearing more about the program, I knew right away it was something I wanted to be part of.

I started the Upholstery and Sewing Program on January 5, 2026, and I’m excited to develop skills in upholstery and sewing that I can carry with me throughout my life. My goal is to build a stable career that will support me and my family for many years to come.

In just a couple of months, I’m already close to completing the Foundation Phase and have begun working on client projects. I am staying focused, working hard, and am always willing to lend a hand wherever it’s needed. I’m committed to my continued sobriety and to building a strong future as an upholsterer.
